The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana, in collaboration with ICTP, and the universities of Reading and Leeds and GMet will organize the 2nd Ewiem Nimdie International Summer School, at KNUST from 19 July to 31 July 2010.

Following the successful organization of the first summer school in 2008, this summer school aims at bringing students, researchers and forecasters from Africa and around the world to participate in field studies and lectures and practical classes in
An important aspect of the Summer School is the ample time allotted to discussions/interactions and oral/poster presentations from participants.

Summer school 2010 Postscript

The school is now finished, the lectures finished, equipment packed away, the students and staff are safely back in their home institutions and fully recovered from the efforts of the school. The lecture content of the school can be found below.  Eventually the field data collected during the school will be posted here along with photos taken during the school.  Some of the school staff are authoring a BAMS article concerning the outcomes and prospectives of the school which will appear here in draft form when ready.
